Rudy Held’s Performance Centre ‘steps up’ once again for E.T. racers at the

2009 Mopar Canadian Nationals.

Available to all the racers who enter our ET Box, No Box and Bike classes.

Once again, thanks to support from one of GBM’s largest weekly supporters (Rudy Held’s Performance Centre), every racer who enters the E.T. classes (Box, No Box, Bike/Sled) will also receive a free crew entry.

Thanks to Rudy, it is still cheaper for a racer and his crew to race in the Mopar Canadian Nationals, than it is to watch the event. For example a weekend entry into these classes is $220 which includes the driver, one crew member and their pit spot – A weekend ticket to watch the event with camping is $130 or $260 for two – that is a $40 savings plus you have a chance to win money & contingency, and the savings increase with every crew member you add.

Space in these classes is limited so get your spot now!

This offer does not pertain to the Junior 7.90 Heads up class (Returning for their second IHRA National event) since the crew aspect has already been considered in the reduced tech card fee of $115.

MOPAR and drag racing.
It is a combination that has gone hand-in-hand for years and a relationship that will continue to grow into the future as MOPAR celebrates its 10th anniversary as title sponsor of the IHRA MOPAR Canadian Nationals July 17-19 at Grand Bend Motorplex in Ontario.

“The MOPAR Canadian Nationals is one of the most prestigious events on our tour. The event is rich with history and great racing,” said IHRA National Sales Director Tommy Dupree. “MOPAR has always been a great partner for this race, their involvement and execution at this event is what makes it so prestigious.

“I can not imagine the race without them.”

The MOPAR Canadian Nationals is the longest running IHRA Canadian national event and one of the few events in drag racing that pits competitors from all different countries.

“The Canadian contingent, along with U.S. racers, makes for a great race,” Dupree added.

And what a race MOPAR and the IHRA has in store.

The MOPAR Canadian Nationals will be the sixth stop on the 2009 Nitro Jam tour. It will feature three professional classes of racing including the fastest cars on earth in Top Fuel, Pro Modified and the quickest and fastest Pro Stock cars on the planet. The event will also feature hundreds of sportsman competitors capped off by the Saturday “Night of Fire.”

“MOPAR is excited to continue our relationship with the IHRA and the MOPAR Canadian Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex,” said MOPAR Senior Manager, National Service and Parts Jim Kiritsis. “MOPAR has been built from the grit and sweat of racers that bleed MOPAR blue. Nothing speaks louder than performance on the track and there is no better place to showcase that then the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series.

“The IHRA Is recognized as a pioneer in the motorsports industry and stands for all that is MOPAR – power, passion and performance.”

MOPAR manufactures and produces O.E.M. and high performance parts and accessories for Chrysler products such as the new Dodge Hemi Challenger RT.
